Edithe L. Johnson, 96, of Holland, MI and formerly of Superior, went home to be with her Lord and Savior Thursday, January 14, 2021 at Wings of Hope Hospice, Allegan, Michigan.

She was born October 18, 1924 in Lake Nebagamon, WI, daughter of John and Ida (Anderson) Johnson.

Edithe was a retired teacher and guidance counselor in various school districts for over 40 years. She was a member of the Alpha Delta Kappa retired teachers' sorority.

She was a charter member of the Hawthorne, WI Assembly of God church.

Her husband Carl pastored 8 different churches in Wisconsin, Minnesota, and Michigan and Edithe was a vital part of ministry in each of these.

Preceeding her in death were her parents, husband Reverend Carl B. Johnson in 1997, and 4 brothers and 5 sisters.

Survivors include her children, Bruce (Melva) Johnson, Duluth, MN, Judy Avery, Holland, MI, and Deborah (John) Skucas, Redwood City, CA; 6 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. She will be greatly missed by her family. She blessed us all in so many ways.

Visitation will be from 10 until the 11am service, Wednesday, January 27, 2021 at Hawthorne Assembly of God. Reverend Joe Dokken will officiate.

Burial will be at Lake Nebagamon Cemetery, Lake Nebagamon, WI at a later date.
