Edna M. Abrahamzon, 89, of South Range, died Thursday, October 3, 2024, at Essentia-St. Mary's Hospital in Duluth

Edna was born in Superior on July 21, 1935, the daughter of Samuel and Hilja (Byorni) Vendela. She married Patrick Abrahamzon on Dec. 26, 1952, and they celebrated 55 years of marriage until his passing in 2008.

Edna worked for 16 years as a nurses' aide at Middle River Health Facility. She enjoyed baking and shopping; her favorite holiday was Christmas and there was always lots of baked goods and gifts. She enjoyed gambling, even though she wasn't very good at it, she always had fun.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Pat; son, Dennis; 4 sisters and 3 brothers.

Edna is survived by her children, Steve (Rene) Abrahamzon, Duane (Lauretta) Abrahamzon, and Shawn (Steve) Parker; grandchildren, Samantha (Joey) Cowley, Stephanie Abrahamzon, Mike (Brandi) Abrahamzon, Cole (Kristen) Abrahamzon, Alex (Michelle) Abrahamzon, and Lyndzee (Bo) Higgins; and several great grandchildren.

A private family Celebration of Edna's Life will be held.
