Edward Jurvelin, 79, of Maple, WI passed away Friday, August 13, 2021.

He was born in Washburn, WI on July 27, 1942.

Father of Jeremy (Sarah) Jurvelin, Nathan (Michelle) Jurvelin, Leslie (Kevin) Crist, Kim (Rich) Caffrey, and Shelly Fuller. Proud grandpa of Ellie, Emily, Amelia, Ethan, Rory, Jessica, Kevin, Heather, Sarah, Dakota, and Sianna. Ed was a great-grandfather of 6.  Dear brother of Cliff (Mary) Jurvelin and uncle to Matt and Tom.  Edward was preceded in death by his wife Margaret (Kruse) and parents Dorothy (Warbalow) and Edward Jurvelin.

Ed began working as a merchant mariner sailing the Great Lakes. He later worked on the railroad as a carman with the Soo Line Railroad and retired from the Canadian Pacific Railroad. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, snowmobiling, riding ATVs, woodcarving and showing cars.

Visitation will begin at 10 am until the 11 am service on Friday, August 20th, 2021 at Downs Funeral Home, 1617 N. 19th St. Superior, WI.  Burial to follow at Lake Nebagamon Cemetery in Lake Nebagamon, WI.
