Edward Eugene Olson, 91, of Superior, died Sunday, November 13, 2011 at Essentia Health-St. Mary's Superior.

He was born January 19, 1920 in North Dakota, son of Gust and Elsie Olson.

Edward served his country with the U.S. Army during WWII.

For many years Edward worked as a telegraph operator and agent for the Soo Line Railroad.

Some of his memberships included St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church and the V.F.W.

He was the ultimate Packer fan, Brewer fan, and loved to bowl and golf.

Preceding him in death were his parents; wife, Evelyn; sons, Gary and George; and brothers, Lester, Leonard, Don and Harold.

Survivors include his son, Randy (Kaye) Olson, Ft. Worth, Texas; grandchildren, Kyler, Chad and Nathan Olson; sister, Shirley Seguin, Superior; and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 10 until the 11 a.m. service Wednesday, November 16, 2011 at Downs Funeral Home, 1617 N. 19th Street, Superior, with Reverend Father James Tobolski officiating.

Burial will be in St. Francis Cemetery, Superior, with military rites accorded by the Richard I. Bong American Legion Post #435.
