Edward John Pooler, 68, of Poplar, passed away on Monday, January 31, 2022, at Essentia Health-St. Mary's Medical Center in Duluth surrounded by his family.

He was born in Superior on December 24, 1953, the son of John Henry and Helen Mae (Carothers) Pooler.

Ed served his country with the U.S. Army.

Ed was a loving husband, best friend, and partner to his wife of 48 years. A loving father, grandfather, and great-grandfather (Big Papa). He has joined his family in heaven. When Ed wasn't driving truck around the country, he loved riding his Harley and spending time with his dog, but his greatest joy was being surrounded by family and friends. We will always love him and hold him in our hearts. We will see you on the other side.

Edward was preceded in death by his parents; and brother, Dean Pooler.

He is survived by his loving wife, Teresa "Terry" Pooler; children, David (Billie Jo) Pooler, Angelina (Jayson) Schafer, Patty (Bryan) Bonikowske; grandchildren, Victoria (Geoff) Sawyer, Justin Pooler, Jacob Pooler, Mitchel Schafer, Edward Schafer, Selena Perez, Al Perez, and Cassidy Pooler; 3 great grandchildren; brothers, Richard (Linda) Pooler, David (Yvonne) Pooler, and Jack (Bunny) Pooler; and his beloved dog, Tippy.

A Celebration of Ed's Life will be held at a later date.
