Obituary

Edward John Santori, Jr., 80, of Superior passed away on December 27, 2015. He was born on August 1, 1935 in Hancock, Michigan, the son of Edward and Emily.

He graduated from Hancock High School and from Michigan Technical Institute with a degree in Mechanical Engineering.

He married Marilyn Ann Coppo on September 8, 1956. They moved to the Duluth-Superior area where they raised their family.

Ed worked at Superior Water Light and Power until he retired in 1994 after serving as Vice President of Operations for many years.

Ed loved spending time with family and friends whether it was daily coffee with his sons, holiday gatherings or time at the cabin surrounded by his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by, Marilyn, the love of his life and wife of 45 years.

He is survived by Steven (Mary Beth) Santori, John (Susan) Santori, Mary Santori, Carol (Lance) Burger; grandchildren Kristina (Alec) Bildeaux, Brian (Greta), Bill, Anna, Tom Santori, Cole, John, Sam, Nikki Mills, Olivia, Natalie, Daniel Burger; 3 great-grandchildren Sophie, Ava, Violet and one sister Rosalie (Fred) Hannon.

A memorial mass will be held Thursday, December 31, 2015 at 11:00 at St. Francis Xavier Church in Superior. Reverend James F. Tobolski officiating. Visitation one hour prior. Burial will be in St. Francis Cemetery at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, the family requested contributions be made to the charity of your choice.

Downs Funeral Home, corner of 19th and Ogden Ave, is assisting the family with arrangements.
