Elaine G. Ostenberg, 74, of Superior, died Tuesday, June 10, 2014 at the Golden Living Center in Superior.

Elaine was born on May 13, 1940 the daughter of Philip Patenaude and Eva Danz. She married Charles Ostenberg on Aug. 13, 1956.

She loved kids, clothes, gardening and bingo. She also enjoyed home decorating.

Elaine was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Charles in 1996; a brother, Donald Patenaude; a son-in-law, Pat Parise; and her mother and father-in-law, Janet and Lester Ostenberg.

She is survived by her children, Leslie (Dan "Sparky") Parkinson of Poplar, Leeann (John) Zakowski, Jr. of Wyoming, Wendy (David) Dolsen of South Range, Stephanie (Chris) Schumacher of Seattle and their children, Michael and Emily, and Shawn (Joann) Ostenberg and their children, Dakota, Joshua, Hannah and Anthony of Seattle; her grandchildren and their families, Chris Ostenberg and daughter Tabitha; Eric (Stacy) Parkinson and their children, Ashley, Andrew, and Alicyn; Scott (Adriana) Parise and their daughter Andrea; Amy Trevino and her children, Kristopher, Charly and Penelope; a sister-in-law, Jean Ostenberg; and a brother-in-law, Robert (Charlie) Ostenberg; and many nieces and nephews.

Her memorial service will be held on Sat. June 21 at Noon in the Downs Funeral Home, corner of 19th St. and Ogden Ave. Rev. Sarah Kerkes of Our Saviors Lutheran Church will officiate. Inurnment will be in the Sunrise Cemetery in Hermantown.

The family would like to give a special thank you to the staff at the Golden Living Center for the wonderful care they gave Elaine.
