Elaine A. Skudstad, 87, of Superior died Tuesday, November 4, 2014 at St. Francis in the Park Health and Rehab Center. She had lived for the last three years at Cedar Ridge Assisted Living.

Elaine was born in Superior on Oct. 4, 1927 the daughter of Marie and Alfred Pederson.

She graduated from Central High School with the class of 1945. She had worked for the Superior Telegram as a proofreader.

Elaine was a member of Our Saviors Lutheran Church, and the Superior Moose Lodge #606. She was involved clubs for gardening and sewing and enjoyed ice skating and roller skating.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and her husband, Robert; a brother, Melvin Pederson and a sister,Thelma Ellison.

Elaine is survived by her children, Paul (Lorie) Skudstad of Superior, Jean (Karl) Stadstad of Morristown, AZ; grandchildren, Matt and Eric (Karina) Skudstad, Catherine (Jared) Mulder, Jenny (John) Huerd, and John (Stephanie) Harry; great-grandchild, McKenna Skudstad; sister, Mary Ann (Walter "Skeeter") Olson of Silver Bay, MN; brother-in-law, Earl Ellison; and a special niece, Marcia O'Brien, along with many additional nieces and nephews.

Her memorial service will be held on Saturday, Nov. 8, at 11:00am at Our Savior's Lutheran Church. Rev. Sarah Kerkes will officiate. Interment will be in Riverside Cemetery.
