Obituary

Eleanor A. Erickson, 85, of Superior, died Friday May 1, 2020 at Villa Marina Health and Rehab Center.

Eleanor was born in Ashland, WI on June 28, 1934 the daughter of Emma (Wroblewski) and Frank Kwiatkowski.

She was a very loving and caring person, and truly enjoyed working as a CNA in the Superior area for many years. She was a member of Cathedral of Christ the King where she enjoyed serving as a Eucharistic Minister and bringing communion to the local nursing homes, and teaching religion classes to students.

Eleanor truly loved her children and grandchildren. She loved to travel in her younger days and also enjoyed reading and crocheting. She was unwavering in her faith and reading her bible and daily prayers were very important to her. She loved to cook and put on big meals for her family, especially on the holidays. She also loved taking care of her beloved pets.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband of 65 years, Roy; son, Michael; sister, Mary Jane; and brother, Frank Jr.

Eleanor is survived by her children, Ann (Gary) Trelstad of Dodge Center, MN; Ellen (David) Balarabe of Laurel, MD; David Erickson of Superior; Steve Erickson of Superior; James (Amy) Erickson of Clayton, WI; and Paula (Stan) Heuer of Esko; 9 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren; and her beloved dog, Jake.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be at Cathedral of Christ the King on Friday, July 17, 2020, at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Fr. Andrew Ricci as celebrant. Visitation will begin one hour prior. Burial will be at St. Francis Cemetery.
