Eleanor (Turnquist) LaBonte, 92, of Columbia Heights, MN passed into heaven on May 19, 2020 of natural causes.

Eleanor was born and raised in Duluth, MN and later lived in South Range, WI and Superior, WI. In 2013 she moved to Suncrest Assisted Living in Scanlon, MN and in 2018 she moved to New Perspective Senior Living in Columbia Heights, MN.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Cordelia Collins; son, Paul Turnquist; brothers, William, Marvin, Jacob and David; husband, Jerome LaBonte; former husband, Henry Turnquist; and stepson, Michael LaBonte.

Eleanor is survived by her daughters, Carol Gehrke of Mahtowa, MN, Patricia (Carey) Mattson of White Bear Lake, MN, Brenda (Timothy) Medd of Oakdale, MN, and Sharon (Steven) Foix of Calumet, MI; sisters, Elma Erickson and Jewel (Lauren) Johnson; brother, Larry Carle; daughter-in-law, Joyce Turnquist; stepdaughter-in-law, Deborah LaBonte; stepson, Thomas LaBonte; 15 grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren; and many other friends and relatives. She will be missed.

Visitation will be held on Saturday August 29 ^th from 10:00 a.m. until the 11:00 a.m. memorial service at the Duluth Gospel Tabernacle, 1515 W Superior St., Duluth, MN. Private family burial was held in Forest Hill Cemetery.
