Obituary

Eleanor Fern Paulson, 94 died on Sunday, April 17, 2022, in her home with her family by her side.  She was born on March 11, 1928, in Minong, WI to Edward and Fern (Wilcox) Lamberg.  Eleanor was employed with the Superior School District, working 34 years as an elementary teacher.

Eleanor was the president and member of Alpha Delta Kappa, a member of the Wildflower Garden Club, and the Superior Area Retired Teachers.  She was the teacher of the year in 1983 and inducted into the Education Hall of Fame in 2004.  Eleanor was a teacher through and through, she taught Sunday School, Bible School and Summer School for many years.  She was in the book "Who's Who in Teacher Education.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Carl V. Paulson, Jr., her son, Carl V. Paulson III, her granddaughter, Lindsey Paulson, her brothers, Edward, Robert, and Gerald.  Survivors include her children Kenneth Paulson, Pamela Petticrew and Steven Paulson all of Superior; her sister, Betty Johnson of Superior; sisters in-law, Kay Lamberg and Kay Paulson; brother in-law, Larry Paulson; 12 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren and one great great granddaughter.

A Celebration of Life will be held from 1-4 p.m. on Saturday, May 14, 2022, in the Town of Superior Hall, 4917 S. State Road 35, Superior, WI.

Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery.
