Elizabeth (Liz) Esther Pearson, 84, died peacefully on Sunday, December 21, 2014 at the Middle River Health Care Facility.
She was born to Italian immigrants Mary (Meneguzzo) and Peter Nicoletti on September 20, 1930 and grew up in Herbster, WI. She graduated from South Shore High School in Port Wing, WI.
She married Lyle A. Pearson on October 23, 1948. She and Lyle owned and operated their family dairy and beef farm in Cloverland, Wisconsin. She was an excellent cook who enjoyed making bread, spaghetti and many desserts for her family and friends. If you stopped by the house at coffee time (on the farm that could be 5 times per day) she would always have something, usually homemade, to go with it.
Liz is survived by three sons, Melvin (Dona) of Rice Lake, WI, Rodney (Kristy) and Roy (Becky) of Cloverland WI; a daughter Louise (Dennis) Alholm of Cloverland; a daughter-in-law Patti of Superior, WI; 11 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren; three sisters Bernadine (Lowell) Knowles, Louise (Dwight) Johnson, and Delores (Richard) Lowney; a brother-in-law Earl (Virginia) Pearson; a sister-in-law Bette Pearson; and many nieces and nephews.
Liz was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Lyle, her son Calvin, her brothers, Angelo, John, Dominic and Anthony; and her sisters, Catherine Larson, Mary Rasimaki, and Clara Martins.
Visitation will begin at 9:30 a.m. and continue until the 11:00 a.m. funeral service on Saturday, December 27th, 2014 at the Mission Covenant Church in Poplar, Wisconsin. Interment will be in the Poplar Cemetery.
