Elizabeth Ann "Betty" Husby, 81, of Iron River, died Tuesday, September 29, 2009 at Villa-Marina Health and Rehabilitation Center, Superior.
She was born July 2, 1928 in Superior, daughter of Viola (O'Day) and Arthur Booth.
Betty worked as a supervisor for Wisconsin Bell, Superior.
She was a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church, the church choir and various other groups with the church. She was also a member of the Chequamegon Cloggers and was an avid artist.
Preceding her in death were her parents, Arthur and Viola Booth; and sister, Nancy Smith.
Survivors include her children, Mary Linda Ward, James (Vicki) Sheahan and Thomas Sheahan, all of Superior, Daniel Sheahan, Gordon, WI, Kathy (Mark) Sheahan, Jeanne (Paul) Patterson, and Sandy (Don) Sheahan, all of Madison, WI; grandchildren, Cassie, Jordon, Amber, Mandy, Rachael, Jerry, Amy, Nina, Christopher and Danielle; 12 great-grandchildren; brother, Art Booth, Iron River; and special friend, Andy.
The visitation will be from 10 until the 11 a.m. Friday, October 2, 2009, Mass of Christian Burial at St. Michael's Catholic Church, Iron River. The celebrant will be Fr. Henry Willenborg O.F.M.
The burial will be at Calvary Cemetery, Superior.
Downs Funeral Home, 1617 N. 19th Street, Superior, is assisting the family with arrangements.
