Elizabeth "Beth"
Jean Davidson
February 6, 1942 – April 12, 2026
Elizabeth "Beth" Jean Davidson, 84, of Duluth, died Sunday April 12, 2026, at Twin Ports Health Services in Superior.
She was born February 6, 1942, the daughter of Toini (Beckman) and Ernie Oberg.
Beth attended Cloverland School graduating with the class of 1960.
After graduating, she moved to Duluth where she did odd jobs until starting at Viewcrest Nursing Home. While living in Duluth, Beth met the love of her life Gilbert Davidson. Gilbert was still serving our country, but shortly after falling in love, 73 days, they said "I do".
Beth had a passion for helping people and animals. She devoted her life to Jesus and her family. Beth never said no to helping someone. Over time of helping people, she found a job as a crossing guard for the Cathedral School in Superior. This gave her many stories to bring home and share. After retiring, Beth expanded her desire to feed the squirrels at her home, her family swore she invited them in for dinner at night. Her love of animals didn't stop at the oversized squirrels in her backyard, it continued to her son's farm, where she spent countless days. She loved watching the babies' first steps.
Beth is preceded in death by her husband, Gilbert; parents, Toini and Ernie; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Estella and Herb Foster; and many other family members she held close.
Her spirit and love are remembered by her children Roberta Carre, Brian (Tammy) Davidson and Darryn (Corrine) Davidson; grandchildren, Michael (Jennifer) Davidson, Samantha (Travis) Ahlbeck, Scott (Melissa) Davidson, Arica (Jake) Myer, Misty (Justin) Andren, Tad Davidson, Brayden Davidson, Kolton Davidson, Camdyn Davidson, Dreydyn Davidson and Rylen Davidson; sisters, Arlene (Jack) Nelson, Bonnie (Dale) Nelson and Eunice (Steve) Laakso; and many great grandkids, nieces, nephews, cousins, and beloved friends.
We will remember her love and laughter with each oversized squirrel, child laughing, garden growing beautifully and each church bell ringing.
