Elizabeth Jean "Biz" Hines, 85, of South Range, ended her courageous battle with heart and kidney disease at home with her loving family at her side, Thursday, September 4, 2014.

She was born January 20, 1929 in Hibbing, Minnesota, daughter of Frans and Helen (Massy) Nordstrom.

Biz was an outdoor girl. She loved camping, walleye fishing, traveling and her beautiful yard and home. Biz and Harry wintered in Mexico and Alabama for 40 years. She was very proud of her family, whom she cared for with all her heart.

Survivors include her husband of 66 years, Harry; daughter, JoAnn (Michael) Burke, Aurora, Minnesota; son, John (Julie) Hines, Superior; 4 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; a great-great grandchild; sister, Fran Sampson, Florida; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Edward Hines; and sister, Alice Fiorani.

Visitation will be from 10 until the 11 a.m. service, Tuesday, September 9, 2014, at Downs Funeral Home, 1617 N. 19th Street, Superior. Reverend Pam Fisher will officiate.

Interment will be held at a later date.

Following the service, everyone is invited to a luncheon at the Elks Club, 1503 Belknap Street, Superior.
