Elizabeth A. Johnson, 90, of Superior, died Wednesday, January 3, 2018, at Essentia Health-St. Mary's Medical Center, Duluth.

She was born June 2, 1927, in Superior, daughter of John and Esther (Pedersen) Kelly.

She graduated from the University of Wisconsin – Superior, with a bachelor of science degree.

On June 24, 1950, at Concordia Lutheran Church, Superior, Elizabeth A. Kelly married Byron D. Johnson.

Elizabeth was enthusiastic about fishing, camping, traveling, cooking, reading, walking and caring for her family.

Preceding her in death were her parents; son, Jeffrey; baby granddaughter; and sister, Clarice Wilson.

Survivors include her husband of over 67 years, Byron; daughters, Jackie (John) Venner, Lincoln, Nebraska, Diane Johnson, West Sacramento, California, and Karen (Steve) Rickstrom, Superior; sons, Dennis (Mary) Johnson, Kennedy Meadows, California, and Buzz Johnson, Moose Lake, Minnesota; 11 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; and sister, Joan Lang, New Hampshire.

A private graveside service will be held at Riverside Cemetery, Superior, at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the Superior Public Library for large print books.
