Ellen J. Sibila's Obituary
Ellen J. Sibila, 78, of South Range died Tuesday, July 24, 2012 in her residence after a long battle with Cancer, surrounded by her family.
Ellen graduated from Superior Central High School in 1952 and married Roy Sibila in December of 1952.
She had worked as a C. N. A. for twenty-six years and also had been employed at Western Electric in Duluth.
Ellen was very caring and always thinking of others.
She loved baking, cooking and traveling.
She is survived by her husband, Roy; four children, Bob Sibila, Tammy (Richard) Peterson, Stacie (Rob Ott) Sibila and Rodney (Jean) Sibila; four sisters, Edna Abrahamzon, Irene Moretto, Arlene Olson and Lorraine Archambeault; a brother, Lester Vendela; eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death were her parents, Sam and Hilja Vendela; a daughter, Linda Marie Sibila; and two brothers, John and Kelly Vendela.
A memorial service will be held on Friday at 2:00 p.m. in the Downs Funeral Home, Corner of 19th & Ogden with Rev. Wesley P. Koehler officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.
The family wishes to thank St.Mary's Hospice for the care and compassion shown Ellen and her family.
