Elmer C. Anderson, 93, of Superior, died Tuesday, July 9, 2013 at Golden Living Center, Superior.
He was born December 14, 1919 in Superior, son of Gust and Marie (Olsen) Anderson.
Elmer proudly served his country with the U.S. Army during WWII.
His work history included the former Great Northern Railroad, Cargill, Inc. and retired as a millwright for General Mills, Duluth.
He was a member of Sons of Norway and V.F.W.
Preceding him in death were his parents; wife, Lorraine in 1991; grandson, baby Currie; brother, Erling Anderson; sister, Agnes Stone; and nephew, Erling Anderson, Jr.
Survivors include his daughters, Candy (Joe) Kokotovich, Duluth, and Cindy (Don) Currie, Thunder Bay, Ontario; granddaughters, Jill (Dan) Lepisto, Duluth, and Amy Kokotovich, Duluth; great-granddaughters, Alexandra G. Kokotovich and Karina G. Kokotovich, both of Duluth; several nieces and nephews; and special companion, Hazel During, Superior.
Visitation will be from 10 until the 11 a.m. service, Saturday, July 13, 2013 at Asbury United Methodist Church, 6822 Grand Avenue, Duluth, with Reverend Cindy Rasmussen officiating.
Military rites will be accorded by the Richard I. Bong American Legion Post #435, at the conclusion of the memorial service at the church.
The family wishes to thank Elmer's special girls from the Lighthouse and Golden Living Center for their love and concern.
