Erica Marie (Yoder) Chapman, 42 of Hatley, WI, died with her family by her side on Saturday, July 2, 2022, at The Bay at Colonial Manor in Wausau after a long battle with liver failure.

She was born on January 30, 1980, in Duluth, MN to Lowell and Bonnie (Strom) Yoder.

Erica graduated in 1999 from Superior Senior High School.  She was employed with AT&T in Duluth and the FeraDyne Outdoors in Superior until moving to the Wausau area.

Erica met the love of her life, and they were married in Wausau on July 13, 2018.  She had a beautiful smile and had an avid love for people and all animals.  Erica was very giving to all people; she was a special person that could make anyone smile.  At the end of her life, she made all the nurses and even the Chaplain smile, that was just the kind of person she was.

Erica is survived by her husband, Derick Chapman, her parents, Lowell and Bonnie Yoder, her brother, Brian Yoder and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be held 11:00 am on Monday, July 11, 2022, in Downs Funeral Home Chapel with a visitation one hour prior to the service. Interment will be in Greenwood Cemetery.
