Obituary

Erick A. Flood, Sr., 80, of Superior, died Saturday, April 6, 2013 at his residence.

He was born November 29, 1932 in Chicago, son of Mauritz and Annie (Rosenquist) Flood.

He proudly served his country with the U.S. Army from 1953 to 1955. He was stationed in Germany, as a corporal with the 11th and 36th Machine and Records Unit.

On March 20, 1964, Erick married Georgia Faye Hedrick in Wrenshall, MN.

Erick worked for various contractors as a union plumber and pipefitter.

He was a member of the Superior, Hawthorne and Cloquet Trap Clubs, Northern Lights Fish Camp and the United Association of Plumbers and Pipefitters Local # 11.

His interests included fishing, hunting, trapping, bowling, trapshooting and the annual trip to The Pas, Manitoba.

Preceding him in death were his parents; and wife, Georgia F. Flood in 2011.

Survivors include his daughter, Linda (Richard) Rossi, Oakdale, MN; sons, Erick "Ernie" Flood, Jr., Superior, and Edward (Teresa) Flood, Bennett, WI; grandson, Kellen Tyler Flood, Surprise, AZ; brother, William Flood, Cumberland, WI; his longtime bowling team friends; and his pet bird, George.

Visitation will be from 2 until the 3 p.m. service, Friday, April 12, 2013 at Downs Funeral Home, 1617 N. 19th Street, Superior. Reverend Mark A. Holmes, pastor of Darrow Road Wesleyan Church, will officiate.

Military rites will be accorded, at the funeral home, by the Richard I. Bong American Legion Post # 435.
