Dzikonski
March 18, 1929 – March 24, 2026
Esma (Dolsen) Dzikonski entered eternal life on March 24, 2026, at 97 years old.
She was born on March 18, 1929, to Ray and Lila (Eckert) Dolsen. Esma grew up in the Town of Oakland on the family farm. She graduated from East High School and married her husband, Edmund Dzikonski, on April 29, 1950. Together they raised seven children in the Town of Oakland. Esma was employed by Phoenix Hosiery in her early years. She also worked at Washington Elementary as a playground/lunchroom monitor and finally at Pooh Corners Daycare. She enjoyed caring for children. Esma loved spending time with family and friends, gardening, her roses, playing cards and cooking on Sundays for her family. She was best known for her cinnamon rolls.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband; her grandson Casey Hochrein; great great grandson Jack Hochrein; sister Eileen Lewis; two brothers Alan and James Dolsen and sister-in-law Judy Dolsen.
Esma is survived by her children, Barbara Larson, Linda Sigler, Gary Dzikonski, Mary (Bob) Dodge, Darlene (Tom) Johnstad, Stanley (Sharon) Dzikonski, John (Maureen) Dzikonski; 32 grandchildren; 34 great grandchildren; 3 great great grandchildren and one on the way; her brothers Charles (Mary Jean) Dolsen and Warren (Lois) Dolsen; by sister-in-law Frances Dolsen. By many nieces, nephews and other family members. Also, by family friends Debra Dzikonski Fellbaum and Kevin Giersdorf.
Visitation will be Saturday April 11, 2026, from 10:00 am until the 12:00 noon Funeral Service at Darrow Road Wesleyan Church, 4020 S Darrow Road. A luncheon will be held at the Parkland Town Hall following the funeral service. Private family internment will be held at a later date in Greenwood Cemetery.
The family would like to thank the staff and nurses at Twin Ports Health Services for the care and love they gave to mom. She will be greatly missed by all.
