Esther E. Kinnee, 101, formerly of Superior, died Sunday, October 16, 2011 at Middle River Health and Rehabilitation Center, South Range.
She was born August 30, 1910 in Rock Rapids, Iowa, daughter of Frank and Elizabeth McKee.
Esther was a former member of Hammond Avenue Presbyterian Church.
Some of her interests included playing cribbage, watching Wheel of Fortune and trips to the casinos with family. She always had a great sense of humor and was also known for her kindness and devotion to her family.
Preceding her in death were her parents; husband, Earl; son, Gerald; granddaughter, Rebecca Jacott Uttley; sisters, Helen, Lucille and Eleanore; brothers, Mack, Donald and Russell; 7 step-brothers and step-sisters; and half-brother, Kenneth.
Survivors include her daughters, Lois (Ronald) Jacott, Menomonie, WI, and Sue (Hugh) McKay, Superior; 7 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; daughter-in-law, Joan Kinnee, West Milford, New Jersey; and cousin, Robert Miller, White Bear Lake, MN.
The visitation will be from 10 until the 11 a.m. service, Thursday, October 20, 2011 at Downs Funeral Home, 1617 N. 19th Street, Superior.
Reverend Joel Huenemann, pastor of the United Presbyterian Church, will officiate.
Pallbearers will be Dave Jacott, Colin Jacott, Grace Jacott, David Uttley, Michelle McKay and Christine McKay.
Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery, Superior.
