Eugene "Gene" R. E. Pearson, 72, of Superior, died Friday, March 27, 2015, at St. Luke's Hospice, Duluth.
He was born January 16, 1943, in Superior, son of Clarence Edwin and Rosa Belle (Carpenter) Pearson.
On December 28, 1963, in Superior, Eugene R. E. Pearson and Rose M. Stark were united in marriage.
Gene's work history included a journeyman machinist for Northern Engineering for many years, an auto mechanic and no matter what the project was, he could repair or fix almost anything.
He was a member of Darrow Road Wesleyan Church, the machinists union and the NRA. His interests included deer and bird hunting, and gardening, however; his greatest love was spending time with his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Family and friends will always remember many of Gene's attributes, especially his honesty.
Preceding him in death were his parents; daughter, Susan Pearson; and sister, Darlene Foster.
Survivors include his wife of over 51 years, Rose; daughters, Leigh (Jason) Parcel, San Diego, California, and Maria (Robert) Christman, Superior; grandchildren, Scott Johnson, Robert Christman, Jr., Jillian Johnson, Steven Christman, and Morgan Pearson; and great-grandchildren, Sophia, Evalina and Jasmine.
Visitation will be from 10 until the 11 a.m. service Wednesday, April 1, 2015, at Darrow Road Wesleyan Church, with Reverend Mark A. Holmes officiating.
