Eunice "Bunny" J. Grimsrud, 89, of Superior, died Saturday, December 17, 2022, at Superior Rehabilitation Center, Superior.

She was born September 13, 1933, in Wausau, Wisconsin, daughter of John and Laura (Neumann) Matson.

Bunny graduated from high school in Eagle River, Wisconsin, and then went on to graduate from UW-Superior and taught elementary education in Merrill, Wisconsin.

On April 6, 1955, in Merrill, Wisconsin, Eunice J. Matson and Rolf G. Grimsrud were united in marriage.

After teaching in Merrill, her focus changed to motherhood and raising a family. Her homemaking skills were second to none. Many of her family and friends referred to her as "Mrs. Clean."

Bunny and Rolf enjoyed traveling and spending time at their summer home in Lake Nebagamon. Some of their travels included Hawaii, Australia, the Far East, England, Germany, and numerous other places.

She belonged to Concordia Lutheran Church and its Altar Guild and Mary Circle. Helping with funeral luncheons was one of her many interests.

Preceding her in death were her parents; sister, Lolita Kachel; and brother, John Matson.

Survivors include her husband of over 67 years, Rolf G. Grimsrud; daughters, Debra Grimsrud, Superior and Lisa (Bob) Olberg, Minneapolis, MN; sister, Donna Berg, Whitewater, WI; and many nieces and nephews.

A funeral will be held at a later date with burial at Riverside Cemetery, Superior. Gary Banker will officiate.
