The exciting moments of pregnancy have turned to sorrow and heartfelt loss with the death of our baby, Evalyn Rose O'Brien, on Oct. 19, 2009.

Evalyn is survived by her parents, Darrell and Tammy (Rubel) O'Brien; her brother, Ethen; sisters, Ashleigh and Addisyn; maternal grandparents, Ronna Rubel of Superior and Thomas (Alice) Rubel of Houston Tex.; paternal grandmother, Sharon O'Brien of Superior; maternal great-grandmother, Bette Rubel of Superior; paternal great-grandmother, Delpha Kauti of Superior; aunts and uncles, Amy (Mark) Pananen of Superior, Kerry Rubel of Superior, Dale (Lynn Damkroeger) O'Brien of Superior, Starr (Rahn) Abrahamson of Proctor and Dean O'Brien of Duluth; and many cousins.

She was preceded in death by her paternal grandfather, Dale O'Brien; maternal great-grandparents, Vivian and Walter Ames and George Rubel; and paternal great-grandmother and great-grandfather, Mildred Rasmussen and Leonard Kauti.

Her funeral service will be held on Fri. Oct. 23 at 1:00 p.m. at Downs Funeral Home, corner of 19th St. and Ogden Ave. Rev. Curt Vanderstelt, pastor of North Bay Community Church, will officiate. Visitation will begin one hour prior.
