Evelyn J. Harstad, 101, died Friday, October 8, 2021, at Diamond Willow Assisted Living in Proctor.

She was born in Superior on Dec. 13, 1919, the daughter of Martin and Hilda (Opien) Mathison.

Evelyn and her husband Elmer owned and operated Elmer's Cabins for many years. Work was very important to them, and they enjoyed the close group of friends they had with local motel owners.

She was preceded in her death by her husband, Elmer; her parents and eight brothers and sisters.

Evelyn is survived by many nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 13, 2021, at Greenwood Cemetery. Rev. Jeremy Skaggs from Hope Congregational Church will officiate.
