Evelyn L. Kempton's Obituary
Evelyn L. Kempton, 85, of Superior, Wis. died Wed., Aug. 14, 2013 in St. Francis Home In The Park, Superior.
She was born in Angora, Minn. on Oct. 26, 1927 to Mary (Isaacson) and William Leikas.
She was a member of Cathedral Of Christ The King and "The Birthday Club". She enjoyed sewing, needle point and playing yahtzee.
Evelyn is survived by her daughter, Linda (Dick) Saari of Almena, Wis.; sons, Ron (Sherri) Kempton of Superior and Dennis Kempton of Virginia, Minn.; grandchildren, Corrine Breur, Derek, Carolyn and Jessica Saari, Rhonda Jo (Jeremy) Bentley, Crystal and Heather Kempton, Kristen (Jamie) Whitwam and Brian (Carly) Kempton; seven great-grandchildren; and a sister, Beverly Leikas of Virginia, Minn.
Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, Jerome died on Dec. 16, 2007, just one month short of their 60th wedding anniversary; and a sister, Wilma.
Evelyn's funeral service will be Wed., Aug. 21st in Downs Funeral Home, corner of Ogden Ave. & 19th St., at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Fr. Andrew P. Ricci officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.
