SUPERIOR

Faith H. Nelson, 86, of Poplar, died Tuesday, January 12, 2010 at Middle River Health and Rehabilitation Center.

She was born October 8, 1923 in Superior.

Faith was a member of Peace Lutheran Church, Poplar, where she was the church organist, choir member and Sunday school teacher.

She taught piano for 43 years to many children and adults in the Poplar area.

Preceding her in death were her parents; and cousin, Dorothy Hallen.

Survivors include her Goddaughter, Pat (Daryl) Lehto, Poplar; caregivers, Marlen and Sharen Fritsch, Poplar; cousins and many friends.

The visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, January 15, 2010 at Downs Funeral Home, 1617 N. 19th Street, Superior, and will resume at noon until the 1 p.m. funeral service, Saturday, at Peace Lutheran Church, Poplar. Pastor Greg Gullicksrud will officiate.

Pallbearers will be Virgil Nelson, Lee Swenson, Clifton Swenson, Daryl Lehto, Mike "Harry" Berger and Ivan Pavlovich.

Interment will be at the Poplar Cemetery, Poplar. Following the interment, everyone is invited back to the church for a luncheon.
