Florence Morgenthaler's Obituary
Florence T. Morgenthaler, 90, passed away Saturday, July 2, 2016 at her home in St. Joseph, Missouri.
She was born January 4, 1926 at home in Atchison, Kansas to Arthur M. and Mildred (Jarrett) Tucker. She graduated from Wathena High School in 1944 and she moved to Washington D.C. and worked at the Pentagon in the United States Navy Department until 1956 when she married Richard W. Morgenthaler on May12th and they moved to Superior, Wisconsin. Florence worked for the government in Duluth, Minnesota and Superior, Wisconsin retiring in 1981 as a service representative for the social security administration. They had no children but were especially fond of their nieces and nephews. Florence was a member of Huffman United Methodist Church, St. Joseph.
She was a preceded in death by her husband of 29 years, her parents and sister, Ethel Weber. Survivors include her brother Arthur J. Tucker of St. Joseph, Missouri and nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held in St. Joseph, Missouri.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, July 21, 2016, at Calvary Cemetery, Superior.
