Florence Rae Stensby, 89 of Superior, WI passed away on Sunday, Dec. 4, 2022, at the Villa Marina Health and Rehabilitation Center in Superior, WI.

She was born on May 27, 1933, in Superior to Josephine (Blachut) and John Winek.

Florence was a 1951 graduate of Superior East High School.  She married William "Red" Stensby on April 4, 1970, in Superior.

She was employed in the clerical department with Met Life Insurance Company for many years retiring in 1995.   Florence enjoyed crocheting, bead working, making jewelry, and baking until her eyes failed her.  She was a big Green Bay Packer fan, always supporting her favorite team.  Florence passed following the Packers win on Sunday.

Florence was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, William "Red" Stensby; her brothers, Frank, and Joseph Winck; her sisters, Jennie Kaptonak, Mary Sheasby, Rose Collins, and Helen Domski.

She is survived by her son, Will Stensby, Jr.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 13, 2022, from 1:00 pm until the 2:00 pm Funeral Service in Downs Funeral Home Chapel, 1617 N. 19 ^th St., Superior, WI.   Entombment will be in the Greenwood Cemetery columbarium.
