Obituary

Floyd R. Keup, 73, of Wascott, died Wednesday, January 16, 2013, at his residence.

He was born March 19, 1939 in Superior, son of Peter and Delia (Abrahamson) Keup.

Floyd's work history started with the School District of Superior, Udeen Trucking and retired from Reuben Johnson Construction.

He was a member of the Teamsters Union, the International Union of Operating Engineers, the Coral Sands Golf League, Forest Point Golf Course, the Four Seasons Recreation Club, and the Eagles Club.

Some of his many interests included canoeing, pontoon boating, and other lake activities. He also enjoyed yard work, hunting, watching NASCAR and his Green Bay Packers.

He was preceded in death by his parents; first wife, Nancy; and brothers, Charles, Gene and Ernest.

Survivors include his wife, Kathleen; sons, Kevin (Belinda) Keup, Coon Rapids, MN, and Brian (Michelle) Keup, Superior; daughters, Kerry (Tim) Scharte, Superior, and Wendy Devlin, Campbell River, British Columbia, Canada; grandchildren, Shane, Travis, Kasey, Dalton, and Abby Keup, Maddison and Cole Devlin, and Andrew Scharte; great-grandson, Hunter; 6 step-children; step-grandchildren, Lindsay, Brooke, Joel, Danielle, Valerie and Annika; sisters, Esther Krause, Dululth, MN, Irene (Richard) Eskelson, Superior, Rosie Hietala, Deerfield Beach, FL, and Joyce (Jim) Follis, Whitewater, WI; brothers, Lester (Patty) Keup, Westerly, RI, Loren (Denise) Keup, Superior, and Ben (Gail) Keup, Webb Lake, WI; and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 10 until the 11 a.m. service Tuesday, January 22, 2013 at Downs Funeral Home, 1617 N. 19th Street, Superior.

Active pallbearers will be Shane, Travis, Kasey, Greg and Scott Keup, and Joel Scharte. Honorary pallbearers will be Dalton Keup, Peter Podgorak, Tony Podgorak, Charles Finstad, Andrew Scharte and Cole Devlin.

Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery, Superior.
