Frances L. Johnson, 85, of Superior, Wis. died Mon., Oct. 5, 2009 at the Middle River Health and Rehabilitation Center.

Frances was born in Duluth, Minn. July 16, 1924, the daughter of Agnes and John Johnson.

Frances loved to socialize and attend all the social activities at Bethel Lutheran Church. She also enjoyed quilting, listening to music, dancing and playing the piano. She had an incredible love for animals. Most important to her was spending time with family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Frances is survived by her children, Debra Johnson and Scott (Brenda) Johnson all of Superior; grandchildren, Scott Tyler and Bailey Johnson; a brother, Noble Johnson of Plano Tex.; and nieces and nephews, Thomas Johnson of Calif., and Rob Johnson, Chris Hanger and Karen Johnson all of Plano, Tex.

Her memorial service will be held on Thurs., Oct. 29th at Noon in Bethel Lutheran Church with Rev. Gary Garnatz officiating. Visitation will begin one hour prior. Inurnment will be in Park Hill Cemetery in Duluth.

The family wishes to thank the staff of the Middle River Health Facility for the wonderful care shown Frances and the kindness shown to her family during Frances' stay there.
