Yano
September 1, 1925 – September 25, 2020
Frances E. Yano, 95, of Superior, died Friday September 25, 2020 at Twin Ports Health Services.
Frances was born in Superior on Sept. 1, 1925 the daughter of Anthony and Theresa Yano.
She had been a bookkeeper for many years at their family store, Yano Brothers. She was a member of Cathedral of Christ the King and her faith was very important to her. She also had been a member of the musical Clef Club and the Catholic Daughters.
Frances loved painting, being at the cabin, and rowing her boat. She played the violin and loved classical music. She enjoyed traveling to Italy and visiting her family. When she would return, she would always make a scrapbook of her trip.
She was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Marian Seehafer.
Frances is survived by special family friend, Joan (Fred) Typpo-Reich and a niece and nephew.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday September 29 th from 10:00 a.m. until the 11:00 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at Cathedral of Christ the King Church with Rev. Fr. Andrew Ricci as celebrant. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.
If desired, memorials may be made in Frances' name to Cathedral School or the local Habitat for Humanity.
The family would like to give a special thank you for the loving care given to Frances during her time at Twin Ports Health Services and to Dee Hughes from Essentia Health.
