Obituary

Frederick T. Koch, 83, of Superior, died Thursday, November 23, 2017, at his residence.

He was born on March 13, 1934, in Superior, son of Frederick A. and Helen (Eigel) Koch.

He was a 1952 graduate of Cathedral High School, Superior. On May 25, 1991 in Superior, Fred Koch and Pamela McGraw were united in marriage.

Fred worked many years on our waterfront as a longshoreman. He enjoyed baking, cooking, and weaving. Pam considered him a man ahead of his time. He was strong willed and was loved by all the kids that were a part of his life.

Preceding him in death were his parents, Fred A. and Helen Koch; and great-grandson, Zachary Brown.

Survivors include his wife, Pam; children, Jeffrey (Corrine) Koch, Superior, Todd (Sheila) Koch, Janesville, WI, Thomas Koch, Superior, and Bryce Brittan, Superior,  Sue Brittan, Duluth, Vicky (Jon) Zak, Pittsburgh, PA, Jay (Elizabeth) Brittan, Edgerton, WI, Trac Rasmus, Superior, and Bill (Danielle) Barthen, Portage, WI; family friend, like a son, Tom Rep, Superior; grandchildren, Rebecca, Matthew, Sarah, Jennifer, Jaysen, Hannah, Marissa, Olivia, Derek, Daryl, Megan, Melissa, Melanie, Bradley and David; many great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; sisters, Delores Holst and Mary Stanley, Tucson, AZ; and nieces and nephews.

The committal service with military honors accorded by the Richard I. Bong American Legion Post # 435, will be held at 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, November 29, 2017, at Greenwood Cemetery, Superior, followed by a celebration of life at 2:00 p.m. at V.I.P., 1201 Tower Avenue, Superior.
