Gail Patricia Tuura, 75, South Range, Wis., died Thurs. Dec. 24, 2009 at St. Luke's Hospital in Duluth, Minn.
She was born on November 11, 1934 in Superior, the daughter of Gustaf and Eleanor (Berg) Anderson.
She was a lifelong area resident. She has touched many lives through her many years of School Bus Driving, being a Co-Owner/Operator of Tuura's Landing form 1981-86; and Sneaky Pete's. She enjoyed fishing, gardening and her little home next to her youngest son.
She is survived by sons; Russell Tuura of South Range, Randall (Shirley) Tuura of Maple, Wis., Leroy (Corrine) Landin of Superior, Steven (Shannon) Tuura of South Range; daughters, Susan Landin-Drobot (Chris Billmaier) of Boulder City, Nev. Janice Landin of Ladysmith, Wis., Kathy Buchanan of Henderson, Nev., Sandra (Timothy) Williams of Pahrump, Nev., Shari Landin (Robert Johnson) of Bruce, Wis.; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; two brothers, Donald Anderson of Berlin, Wis.; and Richard Anderson of Superior, Wis.; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Gustaf and Eleanor Anderson; her husband, Eugene Tuura in 1989; her sister, Sharon; her son Leonard Landin in 1995; and a grandson Andrew in 2004.
Visitation will be on Wed. Dec. 30th from noon until the 1:30 p.m. memorial service at Downs Funeral Home, corner of 19th St. and Ogden Ave. Rev. Robert Baranow will officiate.
