Garold L. "Gary" Britton, 86, of Superior, died Thursday, November 28th at Essentia Health-St. Mary's Medical Center, Duluth.

Gary was born November 2, 1938, in Superior, son of Lawrence and Mabel (Alexander) Britton.

At the age of 16 Gary joined the National Guard and at 18 joined the Navy.

On December 28, 1958, Garold Britton and Maureen Timmer were united in marriage.

Following his time in the Navy, Gary started driving milk truck for Ray Madsen and farming in Foxboro with his dad. Then in 1967 he bought his own farm.  His work history also included Four Star Construction, Kopper's, and concluded with 28 years at Barko.

Approximately 3 years ago, Gary and Maureen moved to a senior apartment in Superior. They enjoyed visiting with the other seniors at the apartment building and going out to lunch at Pizza Man.

Preceding him in death were is parents; and daughter, Tammy.

In addition to his wife of over 65 years, Gary is survived by sons, Randy of California, Timothy, Robert and Mitchell all of Superior; 6 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; sister, LaVonne Haney of Oregon; and brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Stanley and Rita Timmer of Duluth.

Graveside services will be held at the Summit Cemetery, Foxboro, next Spring.
