Gene A. Graves' Obituary
Gene A. Graves, 72, of Superior died Saturday, February 28, 2015 at Essentia St. Mary's Medical Center surrounded by his family.
Gene was born in Duluth, MN on Oct. 6, 1942 the son of Earl and Sylvia Graves.
He had long time careers at Ready Mix and Goodwill Industries in Duluth. Gene had many interests and talents, but he really enjoyed and was skilled at building homes and gardens. He had many beautiful creations to his name that were enjoyed by many.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and brothers, Clarence Graves, Ken Graves, and sister, Arlene Rossi.
Gene is survived by his two daughters, Annette (Daniel) Steensland of Maple Grove, MN, Gina Graves of St. Louis Park, MN; grandson, Dylan Steensland; fiancé, Joan Erickson of Superior; brother, Richard Graves of Proctor; sister, Carol Swanstrom of Duluth; a cousin, Bernice Graves of Duluth; and many nieces and nephews.
Following Gene's wishes no services will be held. A celebration of his life is planned for the future.
Downs Funeral Home, corner of 19th St. and Ogden Ave., is assisting the family with arrangements.
