George Maynard Cockerham, 89 formerly of Dairyland, WI, died Monday, December 11, 2023, in Braham, MN.

Maynard was born October 30, 1934, to Porter and Hannah (Lund) Cockerham in Dairyland.

He was a US Army veteran of the Korean War serving 1955-56.

Maynard was employed at the Weiser Concrete Company in Plum City, WI and with various cheese factories in SW Wisconsin as a milk truck driver.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his son, Harland Cockerham; his bothers, Porter Cockerham, Jr., Harland Cockerham; his sisters, Regna DeJung, Edna Schultz, Phyllis Aspen and Delores Pietz; and the mother of his four children, Helen (Gjovig) Cockerham.

Survivors include his children, Rick Cockerham, Andrea (Pat) Anderson, David Cockerham and Brian (Michele) Cockerham; and grandchildren, Walker Cockerham, Brittany Cockerham, Allie Anderson, and Courtney Anderson.

A graveside service will be held 10:00 am Saturday, December 16, 2023 at River Hill Cemetery in Dairyland.  Military honors accorded by the Richard I. Bong American Legion Post #435.
