George "Chipper" E. Hansen, Jr., 63, of Barnes, died Thursday, January 28, 2016, at Hayward Area Memorial Hospital, Hayward, Wisconsin.
He was born May 30, 1952, in Superior, son of Florence (Brown) and George E. Hansen, Sr.
George was an engineer on the Burlington Northern and Santa Fe Railroad.
Chipper enjoyed the outdoors, especially time fishing.
Preceding him in death were his parents and nephew, Bernard Smith III.
Survivors include his sisters, Donna Sandlin, Sandy Privette, and Jacqueline (Bernard) Smith, all of Superior; brother, Allen Hansen, Superior; and nephews.
Visitation will be from 3 to 5 p.m. Thursday, February 11, 2016, at Downs Funeral
Home, 1617 N. 19th Street, Superior. There will be no service.
Inurnment will be at Greenwood Cemetery, Superior, at a later date.
