George Ladich, 87, died Friday, Sept. 17, 2010, in Superior.

He was born in Superior on Oct. 31, 1922, the first child of Joseph and Anna (Griak) Ladich.

After suffering a tragic and traumatic accident when he was five years old, George moved to Chippewa Falls when he was seven, where he received care in a Chippewa Falls hospital. Later in life he returned to Superior and was under the care of the Challenge Center of Superior, whose consistent and thoughtful concern for his well-being were enormously appreciated by George's family. For the last several years, George lived at Missouri Gardens, a group home run by the Challenge Center. George was a beloved resident there and his brothers are grateful for the love and care the staff showed to him.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother Steve. Surviving him are his brothers Mike (Myrta) of Spokane, Wash., and Dushan of Seattle, Wash.
