Gerald "Jerry" B. Conner, Sr., 85, of Superior, died Thursday, November 8, 2018, at Solvay Hospice House, Duluth, surrounded by his family.

He was born September 13, 1933, in Superior, son of Donald and Anna (Wick) Conner.

Jerry retired in 1994 as an electrical supervisor, from Enbridge Energy (Lakehead Pipeline).

He served in the U.S. Navy aboard the U.S.S.  Wilkinson (DL-5) from 1953 to 1956.

His hobbies were trapping, bowling, spending time at his cabin on Lake Amnicon, and being with family and friends.

Preceding him in death were his wife, Maria (Tillie) Conner in 2006; and his parents.

Survivors include his daughters, Deborah (Paul) Hellerud, Superior, and Tina (John) Lubick, Deerfield, WI; sons, Donald (Jean) Conner, Reedsville, WI, and Gerald Jr. (Dawn) Conner, Fall Creek, WI; sister, Peggy Nessman, Mesquite, TX; 11 grandchildren; and 7 great-grandchildren.

If desired, memorials in Gerald's name may be made to the Solvay Hospice House, 801 Baylis Street, Duluth.

A celebration of Jerry's life will be held next summer.
