Gerald Irving Rivord, 62, of Superior, Wis. passed away peacefully in his residence on Sun., Nov. 17, 2013.
He was born to Mary Jane Louise (Olson) and Oliver Neftile Rivord in Superior on Jan. 16, 1951.
He served his country in the U. S. Army during the Vietnam era.
He was a clerk for the U. S. Postal Service.
Gerald was an avid photographer, a stock car racing fan and a loyal Packer fan.
Surviving Gerald are three siblings, Douglas (Adona) Rivord of Minneapolis, Minn., Linda Rivord of Superior, and James (Debi) Rivord of Watertown, Minn.; and many nieces and nephews.
His Father died in 1971, his Mother died in 2001, and a brother, D. Steven Rivord died on June 17, 2011.
Visitation will be in Downs Funeral Home, corner of Ogden Ave. & 19th St., on Fri., Nov. 22nd beginning at 3:00 p.m. and continuing until the 4:00 p.m. funeral service with Rev. Sarah Kerkes, pastor of Our Savior's Lutheran Church officiating. Inurnment will take place in Greenwood Cemetery in the spring.
