Gertrude 'Gert' K. Bauer, 73, lifelong resident of Superior, died Monday, November 16, 2015 at Golden Living Center.

Gert was born in Superior on June 19, 1942 the daughter of Wilfred and Dorothy Blaisdell.

She enjoyed playing bingo and riding around town on her scooter with her sister Judy.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and her husband, Gary W. Bauer.

Gert is survived by her two children, Penny (Gene) Bauer of Superior, and Gary J. (Nikki) Bauer of Poplar; grandchildren, Cory, Deminica, Brandi, and Amanda; great-grandchildren, Dakota, Vincent, and Ezra; two sisters, Rose Kirschbaum of Hinckley, MN and Judy (Gary Moe) Blaisdell of Superior; and many nieces and nephews.

Her funeral service will be held on Friday Nov. 20 at 1:00 p.m. at Downs Funeral Home, corner of 19th St. and Ogden Ave., Fr. Andrew P. Ricci of Cathedral of Christ the King will officiate. Visitation will begin one hour prior. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery.
