Gloria Mae (Parteka) Hudacek, 80, of Superior, died Sunday, July 6, 2014, at Golden Living Center, Superior, surround by her family.

She was born August 1, 1933, in Thomson, Minnesota, daughter of Ben and Mae (Anton) Parteka.

She grew up in Thomson and graduated from Carlton High School in 1952. She worked for Diamond Match Company until she married the love of her life, Frank Hudacek, on January 8, 1955. After her marriage she then became a stay at home housewife and mother where she and Frank raised four sons.

Gloria loved to shop, read, and do crafts; however, her greatest love was spending time with her family.

Preceding her in death were her parents; grandson, Daniel Alan Hudacek; brother, Ben Parteka; nephews, Michael, Mark and baby Mark Parteka.

Survivors include her husband, Frank; sons, Bob (Lisa) Hudacek, Jim Hudacek, Don Hudacek, and Todd (Tammy) Hudacek; granddaughter, Amanda (Matt) Peterson; great-grandchildren, Lily and Danny Peterson, all of Superior; brother, Dick (Kathy) Parteka, Wrenshall, MN; good friends, Margaret and Earl Kangas, Superior; plus many other brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, and friends from Manitou Inn and Bucktales.

She was a wonderful woman who had so much love for her family and friends and showed it in everything she did for them. She will be greatly missed and our lives have been so blessed and enriched to have her in them.

Visitation will be from 10 until the 11 a.m. service, Friday, July 11, 2014, at Downs Funeral Home, 1617 N. 19th Street, Superior, with Jerry Thoreson officiating.

Pallbearers will be Bob Hudacek, Jim Hudacek, Don Hudacek, Todd Hudacek and Matt Peterson.

Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery, Superior.
