Gordon "Gordy" A. Oftedahl, 81, of Superior, died Saturday January 23, 2021 at his residence.

He was born August 30, 1939 in Duluth, MN, son of Arne and Elvera (Lundquist) Oftedahl.

Gordon proudly served his country with the U.S. Army.

During his lifetime, Gordy owned several businesses in Minnesota, Wisconsin and Florida. He was also a professional auto racer, having competed in many races worldwide, especially in Europe.

He was preceded in death by his parents and infant son, George.

Survivors include his wife, Ewa "Eve" Oftedahl; daughter, Jessica (Ross) Harried; son, Frank (Eve) Oftedahl; 7 grandchildren; brother, Richard (Elaine) Oftedahl; sister, Judy (Mike) Magnon; and nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 5 to the 6 p.m. service, Tuesday, February 9, 2021 at Downs Funeral Home, 1617 N. 19th Street, Superior.  Reverend Father Andrew Ricci will officiate.

Burial will be held at Ft. Snelling National Cemetery, St. Paul, MN, at a later date.
