Grant R. Mason, 49, of Superior, died Wednesday, November 4, 2026, at Aspirus St. Lukes Hospital in Duluth.

Grant was born on July 10, 1977 in Crosby, Minnesota, to Hal Mason and Valerie Marshall.

He worked with the Boilermakers Union, Local #647, and as a transportation specialist for the railroad. He loved fishing and had a passion for music.

Grant was preceded in death by his mother, Valerie, and niece, Arianna.

He is survived by his daughters, Elizabeth Mason of Superior, Wendy Ayotte of Duluth, and Brittany Mason of Siren; father, Hal (Lydia); sisters Amanda (Fritz) Williams of Superior, Brianna Nelson of Superior, Tiana Frank of Superior, Randy of Albertville, MN, Christin Stoneback of Mesa, AZ; grandchildren Ariannah, Ella, Brayton, Bianca, and Sophia. Grant was a beloved “funcle” to nieces and nephews Logan (Emily), Karli, Kenzie, Sadie, Axel, Adam, Hunter, Mila, Kai and Nolan.

A Celebration of Grant’s life will be held at a later date.
