Gregory S. Utyro, 75, lifelong resident of Superior, died Tuesday March 18, 2025, at his residence surrounded by family.

Greg was born in Superior on February 22, 1950, the son of Joseph and Alline (Prenger) Utyro.

He married Charlene Russom on May 6, 1978, and together they celebrated 47 years of marriage.

Greg owned and operated Utyro Contracting, building residential homes until his retirement.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and playing pool. Greg was a talented artist painting over 400 watercolors since the pandemic.

He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Gina; brother, Daniel; and brothers-in-law, Ric Russom and Ronn Russom.

Greg is survived by his wife, Char; daughter, Eve Utyro of Superior; son, Joseph Utyro of Superior; grandson, Lance Corporal Abraham Hirvela of the US Marines; granddaughters, Regan Utyro and Quinn Enge-Frey; siblings, Anne Utyro of St. Paul, Mary Russom of Superior, and Mark (Magel) Utyro of Solon Springs; and many nieces, nephews, and extended family.

A Celebration of Greg's Life will be held on Monday, April 7th from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Downs Life Celebration Center, 1902 N 34th St.
