Gregory 'Greg' Crandall Willis, 68, of South Range, Wis. died Sun., May 24, 2015 unexpectedly.
He was born March 15, 1947 in Superior to Winnifred (Crandall) and Cortland Willis.
Following graduation in 1965 from Northwestern High School he became a member of the United States Coast Guard. He had been employed by Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railroad as a conductor before his retirement.
Greg was an avid outdoorsman and his passion was music and playing drums with his brother and friends. He was a wonderful man who will truly be missed by many.
He is survived by his brother, Mark Willis; his children, Stacey Love, Thad Willis, and Joy Oswskey; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; also held close to his heart were Rhonda and her three children, Christina, Justin and Jason Lane and their children.
Preceding him in death were his parents; and wife, Pam.
A memorial service will be held to honor his life at the Hawthorne Town Hall on Sat., June 6th at noon. Inurnment will take place with Military Honors accorded by the Richard I. Bong American Legion Post No. 435 at the Parkview Cemetery.
Downs Funeral Home, corner of Ogden Ave. & 19th St., is assisting the family with arrangements.
