Harry Lloyd "Hal" Colborn, 60, of Poplar, Wis. died Monday, July, 11, 2011 in St. Luke's Hospital, Duluth, Minn. due to an A.T.V. accident.
He was born January 19, 1951 in Superior, Wis. to Irene (Cook) and Harry P. Colborn.
Hal was employed by the State of Wisconsin as a grain inspector for thirty-seven years until his retirement, and he was a proud member of A.F.S.C.M.E.
He married Laura (Agacki) Korhonen on March 4, 1995.
Hal loved to hunt and take care of his beautiful gardens at his home. He also loved his tractor and enjoyed chain sawing and brush hogging. He was a huge sports fan especially of the Packers. His family was his biggest joy in life.
He is survived by his wife, Laura; a son, Kyle Colborn and a daughter, Donna Colborn both of Superior; a stepson, Christopher (Anabella) Korhonen of Madison, Wis.; six grandchildren, Eric, Abby, Arial, Matthew, Savanah and Dylan; two sisters, Fern (Larry) Lull of South Range, Wis. and Margrette (Fred) Bischoff of Hudson Wis.; three brothers, Roy (Mary) Colborn of Foxboro, Wis., James (Cindy) Colborn of Elm Grove, Wis. and Richard (Jannet) Colborn of Foxboro; a very special cousin, Jim Haugen; his extended family, Charlie Brown, Kelly Paulson Brown, Angela Bodendorfer and Casey Roulston, who were very special to him; plus many other nieces and nephews; and many many friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
A celebration of his life, where all family and friends are welcome to share stories of Hal or share stories Hal had shared with them, will be held on Saturday, July 16 at 1:30 p.m. at the Wentworth Town Hall (Amnicon Town Hall), 8985 East U.S. Hwy. 2, South Range. A reception will follow.
