Harry Johnson, 92, a lifelong resident of South Superior passed away Nov. 3, 2013, at St. Luke's Hospital with family at his side.
Harry served five years in the United States Army during World War II in the African and European Theaters of Operation. He worked 37 years with the Chicago Northwestern Railroad as a car inspector.
Harry was well known for his love of family, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. In later years he visited with others on his scooter and often delivered vegetables from his garden.
Harry was a vivacious jokester, quick witted, and a remarkable carpenter.
Harry is survived by his wife of 67 years, Victoria A. Johnson; daughters, Kathy (Lenny) Hoffman, Rita (Joe) Roberts; sons, Joe (Rita) Johnson, Lloyd (Connie) Johnson; nine grandchildren, Rena Christman, Shane Hoffman, Roxie Hoffman, Jacob Johnson, Amy Johnson, Joseph Johnson, Tereshel Johnson, Loren Johnson, Gina Coleal; 13 great-grandchildren, Brandyn Christman, Gannon Christman, Eric Hoffman, Ariel Hoffman, Amanda Evenstad, Leonard Couture, Anna Johnson, Sophia Fisher, Addison Green, Landon Green, Reid Green, Grace Johnson, Avery Johnson.
At Harry's request there will be no visitation or service.
